Just one week after the new 2019 Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls debuted on the PGA TOUR, the Pro V1 franchise reached another unprecedented milestone as longtime Titleist golf ball loyalist Lee Westwood relied on a Pro V1x golf ball to capture the 3,000th worldwide tour victory by a Titleist golf ball player since the model's inception in the fall of 2000.
Westwood birdied five of his last eight holes to fire a closing 64 in South Africa to win the European Tour's Nedbank Golf Challenge by three shots. The win was the Englishman’s first since the 2014 Maybank Malaysian Open and advances his career win total to 24 on the European Tour and 43 worldwide – all while trusting a Titleist golf ball.

When it was introduced in the fall 2000, the Pro V1 represented a performance revolution, achieving a golf industry Holy Grail, of sorts, by combining the long, straight distance and durability of a 2-piece ball with the responsive feel and precise greenside performance of the soft-covered, liquid-center, wound construction golf balls favored at the time on Tour.
The very first Pro V1 golf ball was introduced on TOUR on October 11, 2000 and when Titleist's 100-Man March culminated at that year's Invensys Classic in Las Vegas, 47 PGA TOUR players, including the eventual winner, made the switch to Pro V1. That's more than five times the combined closest competitor for the same period (68,837) and more than all competitors combined.
To put 3,000 wins in perspective, consider the fact that during that same period of time, the combined wins for each season's next closest competitor is just 628, nearly five times less than Pro V1. Since the year 2000, players trusting Pro V1 and Pro V1x have won more than double the number of official worldwide tour titles than players relying on all other golf ball brands, combined!

Toru Taniguchi captured the 1,000th win in Pro V1 franchise history, when he captured the Sega Sammy Cup in Japan in July of 2007.
2013 was a monumental year for Titleist golf ball loyalist Henrik Stenson. He capped off a breakout season by raising two trophies - one for the TOUR Championship and one for the FedExCup Championship. Stenson would soon receive Player of the Year honors and his TOUR Championship victory marked the 2013th for a player relying on a Pro V1 golf ball.
