Kisner's Match Play Triumph Leads 6-Win Week for Titleist Players

The win total keeps mounting for players trusting Titleist golf balls on the Worldwide Professional Golf Tours, as six players triumphed around the globe. Kevin Kisner led the latest weekend of success, topping an elite field of the world's best players to capture his first World Golf Championship title at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play.

With additional victories on the European, Web.com, Champions, South African and PGA China tours, players trusting their games to a Titleist golf ball have now collected 41 wins across the worldwide professional tours. That's nearly four times the nearest competing brand with just 11 and more than all competing brands combined.

Kevin Kisner (Pro V1) claimed his first World Golf Championships title after posting a 3 & 2 victory in the final of the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play. Kisner, who finished runner-up in an all-Titleist championship match with Bubba Watson (New 2019 Pro V1x Yellow) in this event last year, won six straight matches this week after losing his first. That opening defeat was to Ian Poulter(New Pro V1x), whom he later beat in a playoff to emerge from the Group Stage.

This marks the third career victory for Kisner who vaulted to No. 25 in the Official World Golf Rankings after raising the Walter Hagen trophy at Austin Country Club. He was seeded No. 48 this week, the lowest to win the event in 15 years.

Titleist Brand Ambassador Lucas Bjerregaard finished 4th, advancing to the semifinals with a dramatic quarterfinal victory. The 27-year old returned to the Titleist golf ball from his previous equipment sponsor in late 2016 when he was ranked 172nd in the Official World Golf Rankings. By the end of 2018 he raced up the rankings to No. 45, including a victory in both 2017 and 2018, the first two wins of his European Tour career.

Bjerregaard plays the New Pro V1 golf ball, TS3 driver and TS2 fairway metal, as well as a true mixed set of irons. The Dane has four different irons from the Titleist 718 line (T-MB, AP2, CB and MB), as well as four Vokey Design SM7 wedges and a new Scotty Cameron Phantom T12 prototype putter. Titleist sweeps every major equipment count category at the 2019 Corales Puntacana ChampionshipAccording to Darrell Survey, for the second straight week and the fifth time this year, Titleist achieved the feat of sweeping every major equipment category at a PGA Tour event.

From golf balls, to drivers, fairway and hybrids, and irons to wedges and putters, the Titleist brand was the tee-through-green favorite of the 132-player field at the Corales Puntacana Championship.

The New Pro V1 and Pro V1x were top two most played models.

For the 12th event out of the 15 played on the PGA Tour since the calendar turned to 2019, Titleist has been the top driver choice of more players than any other. This week, there were 39 Titleist drivers in play, seven more than the nearest competitor.

Stephen Gallacher (equip listing in grid) birdied three of his last four holes to produce a stunning comeback victory at the Hero Indian Open, his first win since the 2014 Dubai Desert Classic.

Gallacher carded a closing 71 en route to a 9-under-par 279 victory total and one-shot win over fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Masahiro Kawamura(New Pro V1, TS3/8.5 driver, TS2/13.5 and 18.0 fairway metals, 818H2/23.0 hybrid, 718 AP2/5-PW irons, Vokey Design SM7 gap/50, sand/54 and proto lob/59 wedges, Scotty Cameron Newport putter), with Jorge Campillo (Pro V1) a further shot back.

 Titleist wins the golf ball count at the 2019 Hero Indian OpenTitleist topped the golf ball count with 76% of the field (110 players) trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, nearly seven times the nearest competitor with 11% (16 players).

Titleist was also the top choice in hybrids (34), irons (41) and wedges (183) categories.

Titleist Brand Ambassador Dan McCarthy (New 2019 Pro V1) closed with a 3-under-par 69 to claim a one-shot victory over Scottie Scheffler (Pro V1) at the Savannah Golf Championship.

In claiming his maiden victory on the Web.com Tour, McCarthy topped a leaderboard that saw all 11 players who finished in the top 10 and ties play a Titleist golf ball for their success.

Each of the top 12 players who finished in the top 10 last week also played a Titleist golf ball.

Titleist golf ball loyalists have now won six of the first seven events on the 2019 Web.com Tour.

There was a marathon, all-Titleist Monday finish at this year’s Rapiscan Systems Classic, where Kevin Sutherland (New Pro V1x) finally topped Scott Parel (Pro V1x) by making an 18-foot birdie putt on the seventh hole of their sudden-death playoff.

The pair reached the extra session by finishing regulation at 7-under 209, one shot clear of Billy Andrade (Pro V1). The victory in Biloxi, Mississippi is the second for Sutherland on the PGA Tour Champions.

On the South African Sunshine Tour, Titleist Brand Ambassador Danie van Tonder (New Pro V1x) secured a one-shot victory at the Zambia Open, carding a final round 2-under-par 70 en route to a 5-under 283 victory total.

Callum Mowat (New Pro V1) finished one stroke back as the top five finishers all relied upon Titleist golf balls for their success.

Titleist was the overwhelming top golf ball choice at the Zambia Open with 79% of the field of 145 (115 players) relying on a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than five times the nearest competitor with 14% (21 players).

It was a Titleist New Pro V1x 1-2 finish at the Chongqing Championship where Taihei Sato topped Yanwei Liu by converting an 11-foot birdie putt on the third hole of a sudden-death playoff.

The pair finished regulation at 18-under 274.
