Stanford’s Major Breakthrough Leads 6-Win Week for Titleist

Around the globe, the wins keep piling up for Titleist golf ball players, as six players on the worldwide professional golf tours entered the Winner's Circle this week.

All told, Titleist players have now accumulated 173 wins around the world this season. That's more than six times more wins than the nearest competing brand with just 27 and more than all competing brands combined.

Titleist golf ball players claimed the top seven spots on the Evian Championship leaderboard as veteran Angela Stanford (Pro V1) captured the first major title of her career. In fact of the 14 players who finished tied for tenth place or better at the event, 11 trusted a Titleist golf ball for their success.

Stanford came from five strokes behind, closed with a 3-under-par 68 and finished with a 12-under 272 total, good for a one-stroke victory over fellow Titleist golf ball players Amy Olson (Pro V1x), Mo Martin (Pro V1) and Sei Young Kim (Pro V1) and Austin Ernst (Pro V1).

Ryann O'Toole (Pro V1x), Jeong Eun Lee (Pro V1) and Jessica Korda (Pro V1) finished tied for sixth place at 10-under-par 274.

 Titleist players have now won 21 events on the 2018 LPGA Tour season, seven times the nearest competitor with 3.

Among the field of 120 of players that assembled at Evian Resort Golf Club, 80% (96 players) trusted a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, more than 10 times the nearest competitor with 8% (9 players) and more than all competitors combined.

The winner of the Albertsons Boise Open relied on a Pro V1x golf ball to to regain his PGA TOUR card after failing to secure it this season following his return from mandatory military service in his native South Korea.

His detour to the Web.com Tour Finals coincided with his switch from a competitive golf ball to the Titleist Pro V1x at the Nationwide Children’s Hospitals Championship, the first event of the Finals.

He finished T-35 at that event and then improved to a T-6 at the DAP Championship the next week. A birdie on the final hole secured his emotional victory in Boise.

One switch in equipment and three weeks later - a return trip to the PGA TOUR.

 The win was the 19th for Titleist players on the 2018 Web.com Tour, more than six times the nearest competitor with 3.

Titleist was the most played golf ball at the Albertsons Boise Open with 79% of the field (104 players in the field of 132) trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than eight times the nearest competitor with 9% (12 players). .

In Grand Blanc, Michigan, Englishman Paul Broadhurst (Pro V1) won the inaugural Ally Challenge on Sunday, shooting a 6-under-par 66 at Warwick Hills Golf and Country Club to win by two shots.

Warwick Hills was the site of the PGA Tour’s Buick Open beginning in 1958 and concluding in 2009. Broadhurst, who had never played the course, posted a 15-under-par 201 total to record his third victory of the year and fifth of his senior tour career.

 Titleist players have now won 15 events on the 2018 PGA Tour Champions, three times the nearest competitor with 5.

Titleist was the most played golf ball at the Ally Challenge with 78% of the field (61 players in the limited field of 78) trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than seven times the nearest competitor with 10% (8 players).

This weekend, SangHyun Park playing the Pro V1 golf ball and new TS3 driver and fairway metal among his full bag of Titleist equipment, went wire-to-wire to claim the Shinhan Donghae Open for his third KPGA Tour victory of the season.

Park’s five-shot win included a final round 8-under-par 63 en route to a 22-under 262 victory total. The event was co-sanctioned with the Asian Tour.

 Titleist was the most played golf ball at the Daegu Gyeongbuk Open with 71% of the field (102 players in the field of 144) trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than 14 times the nearest competitor with 14% (20 players).

A final round of 4-under-par 68 earned Neil Schietekat (Pro V1) his second win of the season and his maiden Vodacom Origins of Golf title on the South African Sunshine Tour.

Schietekat fired three rounds in the 60's (69-68-68) en route to his 11-under-par 205 total, one shot clear of the field.

The win marks the second of the season for Schietekat, whose other winning performance came atthe Sun City Challenge.

 Titleist was the overwhelming golf ball of choice at the Vodacom Origins - Arabella event with 68% of the limited field (40 players in the field of 59) trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, more than six times the nearest competitor with 10% (6 players) and more than all competitors combined.
