Any exciting happenings in the world of golf this weekend? Well, not too much, unless you like major victories, final-round 62's, first-time winners and flurries of birdies.
When you add it all up, Titleist players notched six more victories over the weekend. That means that Titleist players have now taken home a total of 115 wins across golf’s worldwide professional tours this season, just shy of 100 more than the nearest competing brand with 16.

It's hard to steal the spotlight from the Sung Hyun Park and David Toms, who each claimed major titles this week, but Italy's Francesco Molinari (Pro V1x) did his best to do just that, firing a final-round 8-under-par 62 to seize his first PGA TOUR title in a runaway.
Playing in heat approaching 100 degrees, Molinari posted a 21-under-par 259 total. His 8-shot victory margin matched the largest on the PGA TOUR this year, while his 21-under score broke the tournament record by seven shots. He played the first five holes of his final nine in six-under, pulling away from his closest pursuers.
In the battle for 2nd place, Ryan Armour (Pro V1x) shot four consecutive rounds in the 60’s to finish runner-up.
With his steady performance, Armour earned one of the four available qualifying spots to the Open Championship at Carnoustie, along with 3rd place finisher Sung Kang (Pro V1x), Abraham Ancer (T4/ Pro V1x) and Bronson Burgoon (T6/Pro V1, 917D2 driver, 917F3 fairway metal, 718 T-MB/MB irons, Vokey Design SM7 pitching, sand, lob wedges), who birdied the final hole to punch his ticket.
Molinari’s winning performance marked the 23rd victory for Titleist golf ball players on the 2017-18 season, nearly three times the nearest competitor with 8.
At this week's Quicken Loans National, Titleist was the overwhelming golf ball of choice with 95 players in the field of 120 trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, nearly eight times the nearest competitor with 12 and more than all competitors combined.
Titleist was also the top choice in the irons category (35). Vokey Design Wedges topped the approach, sand and lob wedge (160) category and Scotty Cameron putters were the choice of more players than any other brand with 48 in play.
Titleist also introduced the new TS2 and TS3 fairway metals for the first time this week. Of the 34 Titleist fairway metals in play at the Quickens Loans National, nearly half were a TS2 (8) or TS3 (7) model.
On the European Tour, an unprecedented 25 players carried a TS driver the first week they were available on that tour. That represents an 81% conversion rate at the HNA Open de France, one of the most difficult courses on the European Tour.

Sung Hyun Park (Pro V1x) topped fellow Titleist golf ball player So Yeon Ryu (Pro V1) with a birdie on the second hole of a sudden death playoff at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship. One other player was eliminated from the playoff when Park birdied the first extra hole.
All three players finished regulation at 10-under 278, three shots clear of their nearest competitors.
The win marks the second major championship of Park’s career (2017 U.S. Women’s Open) and her fourth LPGA Tour title.

Park ’s win marks the 13th for Titleist golf ball players on the 2018 LPGA Tour, 10 more than the nearest competitor with 3.
Titleist players are 3-of-3 at this year’s major championships as Park joins Pernilla Lindberg (Pro V1/ANA Inspiration) and Ariya Jutanugarn (Pro V1x/U.S. Women’s Open) in the 2018 winners’ circle.

David Toms (Pro V1x) made two long putts on the final three holes en route to a one-shot victory over three players at the U.S. Senior Open Championship. He made a 15-foot birdie on No. 16 at The Broodmoor to take the lead for the first time and then made a 20-foot, downhill slider on No. 17 to save par. After a routine two-putt for par at the last, Toms posted a final round score of even-par 70 en route to a 3-under-par 277 victory total.
The win was the first on the PGA Tour Champions for Toms, who won thirteen times on the PGA TOUR, including a major title at the 2001 PGA Championship.
Titleist was the most played golf ball at the U.S. Senior Open with 98 players relying a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than four times the nearest competitor with 21.
Toms’ win marks the 10th for Titleist golf ball players through the first 15 events this season, more than twice the nearest competitor with 4.

Anders Albertson birdied seven consecutive holes (Nos. 4-10) on Sunday at the Lincoln Land Championship en route to his first career Web.com Tour title. Albertson carded a final round 63 at Panther Creek Country Club and a 25-under-par 259 victory total, setting a new tournament scoring record.
Albertson edged runners-up Adam Long (Pro V1) and Kramer Hickok (Pro V1) by two strokes.
With the win, Anderson moved from No. 45 to No. 8 on the Web.com Tour money list, virtually securing his 2018-2019 PGA TOUR card.
Albertson’s ’s win marks the 11th for Titleist golf ball players through the first 16 Web.com Tour events this season, more than three times the nearest competitor with 3.
Titleist was the overwhelming most played golf ball at the event with 112 players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than six times the nearest competitor with 18.
Titleist was also the top choice in the hybrids (28) and irons categories (41). Vokey Design Wedges also topped the approach, sand and lob wedge (209) category.

Jazz Janewattananond (Pro V1x) captured Queen's Cup for his second career crown on the Asian Tour and his first on home soil.
The 22-year old closed with a 4-under par 67 at Phoenix Gold Golf and Country Club in Thailand to finish with a 19-under-par 265 victory total.
He finished four shots clear of Gaganjeet Bhullar (Pro V1x, 917D2 driver, 917F2 fairway metal, 816H1 hybrids, 718 AP2 irons, Vokey Design SM7 wedges, Scotty Cameron Roundback putter).
Janewattananond and Bhullar went into the final round tied at 15-under before Janewattananond went on a five birdie binge starting on the 10th hole to run away with his second title.
Nine of the 12 players who finished among the top 10 and ties relied upon Titleist golf balls for their success, including each of the top 5.
Titleist was the most played golf ball with 97 players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than four times the nearest competitor with 24.

It was an all-Titleist golf ball playoff at the KPGA Championship where DoYeob Mun (Pro V1x) topped ChangWon Han (Pro V1) with a birdie on the second extra hole to capture his first career Korean Tour victory.
Mun and Han both finished regulation at 12-under-par 268, one shot clear of Bong Sub Kim (Pro V1x, 917D2 driver, 917F2 fairway metal, 718 AP2/MB irons, Vokey Design SM7 wedges, Scotty Cameron TourRat putter) and Young Han Song (Pro V1).
In fact, all 11 players who finished among the top 10 and ties relied upon Titleist golf balls for their success.
