With the excitement of the 2017 FedExCup Playoffs barely in the rear-view mirror, the PGA Tour hits the road again for a brand new season.
To kick things off, players return to Napa Silverado Resort & Spa’s North Course for the Safeway Open.
This will mark the fifth year that the PGA Tour feautures a wraparound schedule that bridges two years with 45 events, culminating again with the FedExCup Playoffs.
The Safeway Open is the first of eight events that will be contested during the fall of 2017, affording players a great chance to start the new season off on the right foot while their games are still in mid-season condition. Silverado will also give a host of recent Web.com Tour graduates their first chances to break in their new PGA Tour cards.
After a seven-week break, the season will resume in January with the traditional swing through Hawaii before moving to the West Coast. The FedExCup Playoffs once again features four events and concludes in September with the TOUR Championship and the crowning of the FedExCup champion.
