In 2012, just as he was taking his first steps in his professional career, Titleist Brand Ambassador Patrick Cantlay faced a few serious setbacks that could have completely derailed a promising future. But the former #1 World Amateur fought through injury and adversity and his perseverance was rewarded yesterday with his first PGA Tour win, at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.
Cantlay fired a 4-under-par 67 in the final round in Las Vegas, matching the 9-under-par 275 lead after regulation play. As blustering winds swept across TPC Summerlin, Cantlay prevailed in the all-Titleist golf ball playoff with a par on the second extra hole.
Congratulations, Patrick! Here's to many more Tour wins to come.
