Titleist golf ball loyalist Bernhard Langer (Pro V1) added to his legacy as the most successful golfer in senior major championship history as he secured the third Senior Open Championship (2010, 2014) of his career on Sunday.

Fighting wind and rain in the final round at Royal Porthcawl, Langer closed with a 1-over 72 to finish at 4-under-par 280, three shots clear of fellow Titleist golf ball loyalist Corey Pavin (Pro V1x). Titleist golf ball loyalist Billy Andrade (Pro V1) was one of three players who finished another shot back.

This week’s win marked his record-extending 10th career major on the senior circuit and his third major of the season on the PGA Tour Champions.

“Winning ten senior majors, it's not easily done,” said Langer after the win. “There's a lot of competition out there. Very blessed and honored to have achieved that. To have won three majors in one season is pretty spectacular.”

Langer, 59, won the first two majors of the season back in May - the Regions Tradition and KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship.

He finished second behind fellow Titleist golf ball loyalist Scott McCarron (Pro V1) at the Constellation SENIOR PLAYERS Championship and 6th at the U.S. Senior Open, won by fellow Titleist Pro V1 loyalist Kenny Perry.
