Nelly Korda (Pro V1)
The 2021 U.S. Women's Open is underway at the Olympic Club in San Francisco, California where each player in the field of 156 looks to etch their name into the history books.
The event marks the second major of the year, just about a month after Patty Tavatanakit — playing a NEW Pro V1x golf ball — became the first player in LPGA history to earn her first-career victory with a wire-to-wire win at the ANA Inspiration. In the final round of her victory, Tavatanakit closed with a 4-under 68 to hold off a historic charge from Lydia Ko (Pro V1x Left Dash), who matched the tournament record with a final-round 62, including a front-nine 7-under 29, the best nine-hole score in event’s 50-year history. Defending champion, A Lim Kim (Pro V1), who competed in and won her first-ever U.S. Women's Open last year at the Champions Golf Club, also looks to build upon her success.
