yes it does people who play the pro v1xs have to have a ball speed well up in the 100s and people who pla the nxt have it more in the 80s but I recommend the dt solos great ball I am a sweeper myself and the dt solos give me more spin and here in texas the greens don't stick much so that's what I think hope it helps you

Thanks for the posts. I just wanted to jump in and help clarify the point on needing a certain swing speed to play a golf ball. This is actually one of the most common myths we hear when it comes to golf ball performance and golf ball fitting.

Keep in mind, the golf ball simply reacts to the force applied at impact.

And when we design golf balls, we are designing them to perform on every shot, not just the 14 drives you will likely hit in one round. For that reason, a golf ball must perform for all golfers of all swing speeds on all shots. If it doesn’t, it won’t perform for any golfer. 

As for finding the best ball for your game, it really comes down to finding the ball that is going to help you shoot lower scores. The best way to do this is to conduct an on-course evaluation where you compare two models side-by-side. We recommend fitting from green-to-tee to really see how the different golf balls perform on your scoring shots. 

Hit some different types of shots into the green (chips, pitches, bunker shots) and see how each shot performs keeping an eye on trajectory and spin. Then work your way back to hitting full swing shots with long irons, hybrids and fairway metals. Then finish with shots from off tee. At the end, review the performance of each ball across all of the different shots and see which golf  is best for your game.

You can also play 9 holes with one model and then 9 holes with the other model and go through the same evaluation process. It's a fun process and at the end, you'll have more confidence in knowing you have the best golf ball for your game.

I'm a senior 4 handicap player (driver speed 94 MPH) who played the Pro V1x for the last 3 years, I just tried the NXT Tour & am hitting more fairways. For chipping and putting the difference in feel is minimal, my up and down stats are unchanged hope this helps. David

I 'm a senior too., 10 HDCP 90 MPH Driver and find the Pro V1X gives me 5-10 yds farther off the tee than the Pro V1 but   I  putt and chip a bit better with the Pro V1.  I do have some issues with fading the ball so I am torn with having a softer ball for putting or driving the ball straighter.    In soft conditions, use  the ProV1X . Any thoughts from a NW golfer.. ..Steve

I too am a senior and still pining for the Titleist Balata I used for most of my golf playing life.  I loved the unmatched feel and short game control it provided.  The closest thing I've found to the Balata is the Pro V1.  Still quite a bit harder but it does have similar characteristics around the green.  For me, short game control is much more important than a few yards more off the tee.
