What’s some characteristics of your swing you could share for comparison? Swing speed, handicap, steep or shallow angle of attack, etc? I currently play a ProV 1 and have for the last 5 years. I’m interested in doing a ball fitting one of these days and I’m interested if my ball choice could be optimized.

You can easily trial a sleeve. From chipping/pitching through mid-irons, which one hits and stays on the green the way you like. Based on the ball fitting tool, an AVX will get more ground roll on mid-irons and the -X will land steeper on the green and stop faster. The V will be in-between.

Even with a ball fitting, it is rare to only recommend 1 ball. It will still come down to how it feels and looks on course to your eye. The difference will not be night and day between X and V, but you will have a preference.

Sweep the ball, only hit the ball off the tee 210 yards, 10.0 handicap and have been playing 55 years.

I always thought I was prov1 too and took the ball finder survey and was recommended to get AVX. Will do a dozen and see how it goes. Best of luck smashing and one putting those new prov1x s !

I played the V for years then last April I attended a titleist event that had a ball fitting with it and turns out I was recommended to Pro v1X so been playing them exclusively ever since and I like the way I've been playing since the switch. Confidence that your playing the best equipment for your style of play really means a lot to your game.

You are of course quite corect Don O, at a Titleist Thursday fitting last season the fitters told me I dont generate a lot of spin and neeted to hit the ball higher to stop it quicker on the greens, a set of "A" flex 718 AP1 irons and a change from Prov1 to ProV1X did the trick, Ive never hit the ball high but I do now!

I did a fitting about 5 years ago, the recommendation then was the Pro V1x. I've tried the AVX in between and stuck with it for about 6 months, but while I liked the extra distance, the roll out on the greens was something I struggled with.

Went back to the Pro V1x. I'd like to do a fitting again, just to see if that's still the recommendation. When I did it, the Titleist fitter was fantastic and super helpful, providing a ton of great information. And once he saw the TT bag tag, he gave me a bunch of extra free stuff, so I couldn't complain.

Yep Keith, the ProV1 and ProV1x kind of changed characteristics a couple of years ago where ProV1x was the low spinner and now is high spinner so good that you went for another fitting. Sounds like you are dialed in. Have fun out there.
