    Has anyone done a Footjoy Shoe Fitting?

    I know at some clubs - mainly private, Footjoy will come by and do a shoe fitting day or be part of a Member/Guest feature.

    How was your experience?

    So I have had a couple of different experiences.

    The fitting at the private course was OK, but really it consisted of trying on shoes from a wider selection of shoes than the club regularly carried. The rep who showed up at our club was knowledgeable, but underwhelming.

    However, at one of the TT Pinehurst trips they had the FootJoy fitting Van - man what an experience. I mentioned my challenge of fitting into shoes given the differences in my L/R shoe size. "Why don't you just custom order a shoes of different sizes which will fit you properly?" I was asked. Say What???? Who knew you could even do this. So I was sized up and a custom pair of the best fitting golf shoes I have ever worn showed up several weeks later.

    In short, good experience at the club - amazing experience with the van!

    Hey Jason - I did not know about the van fitting... Sounds like an excellent way to get the right shoes. Given how many miles I walk in a season a comfortable and properly fitted pair of shoes is well worth the cost. According to the Golf Canada Summary of my season for 2022, I played 443,539 yards of golf holes. Add to that the distance from greens to tees and around the course pre and post round, that is a lot of walking !

    I add quite a few yards going left and right (you know - Army golf) as well! :-)

    Thanks for sharing, Jason. Had no idea about that custom order option either, that’s amazing. Maybe FJ will be part of the TT Canada event =)

    The Footjoy rep came by our club for a fitting day. We have had three such fitting days our rep was excellent and like Jason I too have one foot larger than the other. I was fit and shoes ordered. Excellent experiences.

    Michael, as a Tournament Support Representative for the FootJoy Representative in this area that has been something I have been doing since April 2016. I do fittings at those events. We ensure that folks get the right shoe. The MyJoy program offers you the opportunity to order a different size/width shoe for each foot. It makes us unique when come to fitting people who have unusual situations. I am retired and love this gig. I work in the Charleston, Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head Area. We are doing the Annual Kiawah's Pro Am on March 5th, offering Shoes, Apparel along with Titleist. This is for club pros and four of their members which runs the 5th - 9th. We fit a lot of golfers for shoes during this event. I love my FJs and in ten months last year, played over 100 rounds of golf.
