  1. Hello,

I am looking to change the shaft in my 910H.  When installing a new shaft into the surefit hosel, do you recommend additional tipping to what the shaft manufacturer recommends.  For instance, if the manufacturer recommends 1/2" tipping when installing their shaft in a 19degree hybrid, would Titleist use an additional 0.5" tipping on account of the hosel for 1.0" tipping total?  (I have heard that titleist recommends an additional 0.5" tipping for the 910D surefit hosel, for instance).

    Thanks!

  2. Hey can anyone help me with this?  I can't find a Titleist customer inquiry form on this website like all the other manufacturer websites have.

I have a KBS hybrid shaft ready to get installed- Just want to know how much to tip it.  My 910H is 19 degrees.  KBS recommends 1" tipping in 18 deg hybrid and 1.5" in 20 degree hybrid, so I will split the middle and go for 1.25" tipping on account of it being 19 degree club.  However, does Titleist recommend 0.5" additional tipping on account of the surefit adapter?  I have heard for the 910 woods the stock tipping is 0.5", so I suspect Titleist would recommend additional tipping for the hybrid surefit adapter as well?

The original thread posting was 9 years ago. Titleist doesn't make recommendations on fitting custom shafts to used Titleist adapters or third party adapters.

My own less than scientific answer if not buying a shaft from Titleist with an adapter, the standard tipping would be used and the length added by the adapter would be trimmed from the butt end.

In any event, information for a 910 hybrid would be outdated by virtue of the 910 hybrid adapters not being compatible with any of the later hybrids. The later ones were reduced in size to account for the smaller hybrid head compared to a 460 cc driver head.
