I want to get my 714 AP1s fit for me.  I had them a while and think it would be a good time to have them fit.

Springfield, MO is a pretty small city, I looked at the fitters here and it didn't seem like we had many choices, and none with more than the minimum fitting kit.

Where would you recommend taking my clubs, I am also not against traveling a couple hours to Kansas CIty, MO or St. Louis if that means getting a more complete experience

Jim, I'm not sure Oklahoma City would fit in the "near" category, but I have had quite a few players from Springfield come see me and a whole bunch from Joplin.  If you don't find anyone closer give me a call.  I have all the Titleist tools, shafts, heads… and a launch monitor and we fit outdoors from real grass and we use Pro V1 golf balls. We are an Advanced Fitting Center.
let me know if I can help.

If you get to St. Louis, we would recommend calling Brian Coe over at The Quarry at Crystal Springs.  Brian has the full matrix there.  His number is  314.514.0154

thanks, I am booked with Brian for tuesday.  He said he only does fitting for new iron purchases and cant do anything for existing sets.

So in this situation would I just go through the process with Brian and get the specs he would use for a new set order and then could I send in my irons for adjustment?

    Hi Jim,

Yes, Brian will be able to help you with the specs (loft, lie and length as well as grip size).  They can then be bent or cut to length.  The potential problem would occur if he found that another shaft, a different flex or a longer length worked better for you.  The cost to reshaft is much more expensive and you will have to weigh whether reshafting is worth the expense or getting a set to your specs and selling your original set is a better route.

Good news, my current shafts are a great fit so it doesn't have to get complicated with the re-shafting vs selling dilemma.

I had a good experience going through the process with Brian.  Despite mysteriously developing a fat mishit that took too long to shake off, I eventually got some good swings in and he was able to figure out my ideal setup and explain to me exactly how it would effect and help my game.  +1 one for him being a good guy.  Next time I buy clubs I will look him up.

My question is now, when I decide I can part with my clubs for several weeks, how do I go about getting them to Titleist to be bent 2* upright?

Great to hear!  .  Anyone in your area can set that up for you, including your local green grass pro.
