    Purchased the Titleist Driver 913D2 last year with an Obam shaft Devotion 6. Had it shortened 1" I believe. I am pushing right which tells me I am not flexing the shaft anymore. I am 66 with a 5 handicap 5' 5" 200 pounds. I got on a launch monitor and my analysis is as follows: MPH 90 Ball Speed 130 Distance Mean 202 Direction -2 Lauch Angle 5.60 St Deviaton 1.58 Descent Angle 33.8 Backspin 3350 Need Advice of new shaft as do not seem like I can flex it any more EMAIL: Rtom2@att.net

    That is a low launching shaft for an already low launching player.  I might look at something that help will help launch the ball a little higher, but not increase spin too much.  Have your local Club Fitter take a look at the shaft and setting combination you have to see what could be done to improve it.  The Diamana S+ blue 62 in regular flex would be a good baselines shaft to start with.  This will play a little softer and help increase that launch.  The Club Fitter may even have a couple other suggestions for you.

    Thanks Cameron. Will you give me couple other suggestions. Which one of the Kyoshi and or Grafolloy would you recommend.

    There are a lot of factors to consider when looking for the right shaft, which is why it is very important to work with a Club Fitter who can see your ball flight first hand.  You could consider the Kiyoshi Purple 65 or Graffaloy ProLaunch Red the to increase your launch angle slightly.

    I never realized the importance of being fit for a driver. The right shaft has given me almost 25 yards and a much lower ball flight. I've never been so excited about golf. I really feel I can get back to scratch after thinking those days were gone forever!

    Trackman data suggest at your swing/ball speed that you would be optimized at 12* launch and 2500 spin, while maintaining your angle of descent(below 40*). I don't know if a simple shaft change alone will get you to those numbers, you could try to increase loft setting to maximum A3 - A4. I recommend going to a certified Titleist fitter to see what they would build to achieve those optimized numbers before buying replacement shafts. Replacing golf shafts can get expensive if you guess wrong, the Titleist Blue +62 reg. or Bassara 50 stiff may get you there without changing heads.
