its a good year, but new course that is more difficult. hitting the 910 great but looking for that edge. changed to d 1 position that as I understand it makes the 10.5 degree factory now 9.75 degree? first is this correct? at D1 setting, do I now have a 9.75 degree loft on this driver? and secondly, the 10.5 loft has been sweet since 2012, but I find a higher tee position lets me rip it with more height on the ball. if this d1 position is lessening the loft then I can tee it higher to slug it with an upward pass and hopefully get more d out of the same swing. anyone concur or have any negative thoughts. I have a injury that prevents me from slugging on the range, so I have to do with a matt and mirror and feel. I wish I could compare with range work, but I can't. thank you in advance. bobby c.

    Bobby,

You are correct that the D-1 setting will take your 10.5* driver to 9.75*.  This should help reduce your launch angle, but also keep in mind it will reduce your spin as well.  Teeing it up higher does usually help increase your launch, and assuming you do not need anymore spin you could see an increase in carry distance.

    Bobby C,

I'm no expert but I thought I would share my experience with you. As 910 D2 owner as well, I love my driver. Easiest way to control your trajectory off the tee with your driver can be simply done with the height of your tee. Tee it higher to hit high ball, and tee it lower to hit more penetrating, under the wind flight. As you might know already, hitting the ball on the higher side of the sweet spot closer to the crown produces higher trajectory and same thing if you hit on the lower side of the club face that produces a lower flight. I tried it with both 9.5 and 10.5 lofts and it gave me almost the similar results. You might lose some distance but I'll take accuracy over distance any day.

I hope it helps and forgive me if this doesn't add value to your question.

    Happy golfing,
