915 Driver 43.5"

    Is it possible to get a 915 Driver at 43.5" with an Aldila rogue shaft to have a D2 swingweight with a standard tour velvet grip? 

    Would any special tip trimming be required to make it feel and perform like a standard off the rack 45"?

    This question doesn't make too much sense.  You are inquiring about tip trimming while your main concern is swing weight. Why didn't you ask about how much weight to add to the head rather than go straight for fit tip trimming?  Best to get custom fit, you might be comfortable with the 43.5 length driver, but swing weight is pretty relative, esp if your going with a shorter shaft.

    It is not possible to get to a D2 if you cut it to 43.5".  It doesn't matter where you trim it from - tip or butt. 
    C6 is the highest swingweight with a standard grip at that length.  You can use a Winn or other superlight grip and it will add about 5-6 swingweights.
