  1. Hi

In looking at the Titleist Driver shaft fitting chart the MT 6 is listed as higher launch and spin However the Graphite design website shows just the opposite. Graphite Design shows the MT 6 as Mid launch with Low-Mid spin and the and the GT 6 as Mid high launch and Mid Spin. Could you comment on this?

    Byron,

We do make our charts based on the testing that is done with Titleist equipment.  What you see on the Shaft Comparison Chart is how those shafts tested in a Titleist club head.

That being said, I personally am a big fan of the MT.  I am a high launch/high spin player and went to a slightly stiffer flex (stiff to xs) in the MT-6.  It offered more control for me, reduced my spin, and still had a great feel.

    Hope this helps!

  3. Thank you for the help! I am currently playing the RIP Alpha 60 in regular flex and it is a pretty good fit for me. As this is a low lauch-low spin shaft it plays a lillte more like a stiff flex. SS 95-100. Smooth tempo. Just thought the availability of SR flex in the graphite design models might be a good fit but I would be looking more for a mid launch-mid spin since the shaft will be a little stiffer. Any recommendations? My local retailer does not fit for the optional Graphite Design shafts. I didn't really like the high torgue in the stock MRC stock shafts.

    Thanks again

    Byron,

If you setup a fitting with your local Club Fitter, they can contact Team Titleist and requests the MT for your fitting.  Have them call 1-888-TITELIST for assistance.  I think you might want to try the stiff in the MT and go from there. This would be a good starting point with the information you have provided.
