I am currently playing Project X Flighted 95 5.0 in cally X Hot Pro irons. I am going to be purchasing 714 AP1's soon. Is there much difference between the stock XP 95 shaft and the project X 95 flighted to warrant the upgrade?
thanks

Tim,
The XP shafts will be a few grams lighter than the PX 95 Flighted. It produces a higher ball flight with medium spin. As I'm sure you know, the PX shafts are flighted in a way to where the longer irons will have a lower kick point to help get the ball in the air, and a higher kick point in the shorter irons to produce more of a lower flight. It all depends on what you want from a shaft.
If you get properly fitted for your 714's, your fitter should go through the shafts with you, dialing you in to the perfect set. You want to make sure that your numbers are in the range for you. The stock XP is a great shaft. I've fit people before who have hard stepped the longer irons to help lower the flight a tad. I've also fit people in the PX's. Like I said, it all depends on what you're looking for, and the fitter shall take it from there.
