I got my AP1's custom fit, and they were +half inch, I didn't like it, so I cut them down to standard length. Now they feel weird. Do I need to have the swing weights adjusted?
Thanks,

Did you cut from the tip end, or from the handle end? Depending on where it was cut, it can affect the feel differently. If you have the pieces you cut, it can't hurt to weight them, and then add that amount of weight back to each head in lead tape, to see if that restores the original feel. Good luck. (Of course, you can always take them to a place who will check the swing weight, and if you have your order form, you could compare and see if there are any changes. I'd start with adding weight back to the heads.

The swing weight can be adjusted 2 ways..... lead tape or clubhead weight, or lighter grips.
Cutting 1/2" = 3 point swing weight loss.
Changing the grip weight = 5 grams per swingweight point. If you went to a Winn Excel RF grip (42g) vs the standard Golf Pride or Lamkin Crossline grip (52g) you gain 2 swingweight points. I have a TM driver that I cut to 44.5" and I use a Winn Lite Dri Tac jumbo grip (23g) - that regains 6 swingweight points vs the 52g. Golf Pride 25 will raise swingweight slightly more than 5 points vs Tour Velvet.
Changing weight in clubhead = 2 grams per swingweight point. If you wanted to put a shaft weight in, you would have to heat the clubhead and re-epoxy the shaft and head. Lead tape is cheap but you have to place it centered on the rear of the clubhead near the sole. These methods will alter ball flight.
