Does anybody know what the performance characteristics of the Mitsubishi Diamana D+ White 70 in the 915D3 is?
What is the difference of the 913 version versus the 915 version?
Cheers,
Dr. K

Hello, Dr.
*Comparing Stiff shafts* The D shaft in the 913 D's weigh 74g. The D shaft in the 915 D's weigh 71g. So, the new D is a few grams lighter, which can make a HUGE difference when being fit for clubs. The 913 D torque is 3.3*, the 915 D torque is 3.2*. Both firm tips. I've hit both, in an X, and the new White 70, to me, has a much better feel. Performance was similar, but, +.5* launch -100 RPM's can make a big difference when being fitted.
Hope this helps.

Mitsubishi tried to make the new D+70 more like the original white board in feel. The butt end of the 70+ is slightly softer (for more feel at transition) than the D+72 that was used in the 913.

If you have the 913 D+, you can put it in the 915 and swap the shafts back and forth. That is what I did and they are worlds apart, in my opinion. A lot of people like the new one better, I like the old one better.
I like the Aldila Rogue Silver better than the new Diamana D+ 70. Actually, I like it better than the old Diamana D+ 72 as well and I'm playing an Aldila Silver 70 X in my 913 (that I found for a deal), while I very anxiously wait for my 915 with the Aldila Rogue 125 60 TX.
BUT, you have to try them yourself as you may feel the exact opposite way.
***By the way, thank you Will for looking up my order yesterday when I called. Hope I can handle waiting another 2 weeks!
Ben
Thanks for all the great info gang!
My ultimate plan is to get a fitting in somewhere...I may have to drive 200 miles or so to find a Certified Titleist Fitter and a Trackman...Living in the Mountains has it's drawbacks sometimes.

I know what you mean about the drive, mine was 180 miles.. Well worth the drive after my fitting with a Titleist AFC and seeing the difference "on course" to what a good fitting can make.
Make the drive! You won't be sorry, in the least...
