Driver Shaft Tipping???

    Just a curious question to Titleist.  I just ordered the 915d3 with the Alsila Rogue 125MSI 70tx.  When I ordered it, I was told that Titleist tips the shaft a 1/2" and then cuts the rest from the butt to equal my ordered length of 44.5"?  Is that true that you guys tip the shaft automatically 1/2"?

    We tip each shaft according to player and R & D testing.  The Rogue Silver 70 TX flex is not tipped unless requested.  We will butt cut that shaft to 44.5" without tipping it.

    Can the same be said about the Rogue Silver 60 in S flex in regards to not being trimmed?  I'm running into a similar issue and am thinking about tip trimming to bump up the shaft flex.

    Hi James,  We don't tip as SOP, but you can have it tipped up to 1.5"
