AP1 712 6-iron, replacement shaft length?

    I'm considering buying a used AP1 712 6-iron (used) and a DG Hi-Launch Sensicore S300 shaft (new). If I were to replace the existing shaft for this used 6-iron, would I buy a 37.5" shaft or a 38"? Specs show a stock AP1 712 6-iron as 37.5 in length. Just not sure if that includes the head or is that just the shaft. A bit of advise on replacing the shaft and what length to buying would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Also curious if the AP1 712 shafts are .355 taper tip, exactly the same as 710 AP2's ... so a shaft in the 710 AP2 can be put in a 712 AP1 (specifically a 6-iron)without shims, etc. Thanks again!

    Yes, the AP1 shaft (as well as all of the Titleist irons), is taper tip .355". The stock, standard raw shaft length you'd want, with the Dynamic Gold  HL SC would be 38.5". Install (shouldn't be a need for shims, etc., BUT, you'll need a ferrule), then butt trim to length (37.5" as you mentioned). 38"-37" is getting in the low iron range. Whichever you decide to do, just make sure to check/adjust, swing weight(s). Then, you could always schedule a fitting with your nearest Titleist rep, so that you can have your lie angles, loft, length, swing weight, etc., dialed in; AND have some fun trying out the new Titleist equipment!
