Shaft Fitting for long game

    Hi all:

    Question for all of you; I currently have a driver swingspeed in the high 80's to mid 90 range. Currently play a 10.5 loft Titleist D2 driver with a Diamana Regular S60 shaft. Looking at increasing my carry distance with my driver to get more distance; I  usually carry around 200 yards.I'm currently taking lessons for my over game during the winter months.

    Does anyone have any suggestions/ options that I may try for shafts; or should I maybe increase the loft of my driver . I also have the following set up for my long game setup; Titleist 915F 15 deg; looking at increasing to 16.5 deg loft also with a Diamana Regular S 70 shaft and finally a Titleist 915 H Hybrid 21 deg loft with the same Diamana Regular 70 hy regular shaft. My longest iron is a AP2 712 version.

    Any and all feedback would be appreciated.

    Further to what I wrote above ; I would like some options for lighter shafts that all of you may recommend. My longest iron is a 4 iron AP2 712 version.

    Hi Marc,  I was just fitted for woods as it turns out it was recommended 3 different shafts on Driver, three, hybrid.  Weights were 60, 70, 90.  They put me inside the box for spin and launch.  Look for a demo day and get fitted.

    My irons I play NS Pro 950 Rg shaft.  Been playing those shafts for 4 years in 2 sets of irons.

    I've been keeping a eye for potential demo days or maybe a professional fitter to see what my best options would be

    Marc,

    Were you fit for your current driver head and shaft?  If you were, then I would suggest going back and talking with your fitter about dialing in your driver for maximum carry (simply adjusting in more loft may not be the answer).  If you were not, then I strongly suggest you find a certified Titleist fitter in your area and set up an appointment.  A fitter can verify you have the correct shaft or can recommend another shaft that is better suited to you.  If you choose to not to visit a fitter and want to try the loft adjustment, then try adjusting your loft up and down to see how each affects your carry number.  Along with tinkering with the adjustments, do some research on the various shafts offered by Titleist.  You might want to look at shafts in the mid-high launch & mid spin range (refer to the custom club options booklet (under the Golf Clubs menu option)).  What you need to keep in mind though is that most of the shafts listed in that area are a plus up in cost.

    I unfortunately wasn't fitted by a Titleist rep or professional fitter but I certainly would like to do so; I was only going by what I previously using for clubs. I'm not familiar for any fitter in my location. 

    I would like some to maybe try some lighter weight shafts but I'll have to find a professional fitter to see what the proper options would be for me.
