I was recently fitted for my new 915D2 Driver and my 915F 3-Wood at Augusta Country Club by Gary Cressend and all I can say is WOW… The experience far exceeded my expectations. When I was researching where to have my fitting done I had a couple of options in my area, one was the Augusta Country Club (Advanced Fitting Center) and the other was at our local Edwin Watts (SureFit Cart). When I purchased my previous driver I also had it fitted, but at a store similar to Edwin Watts and after the purchase I still had to make numerous adjustments to dial the driver in. So I choose Augusta Country Club for the more in depth fitting experience and level of service. The fitting lasted for 1 hour and during the hour Gary was able to fit me for a new 915F 3-wood and a new 915D2 driver. During the fitting I was the only person he was working with, the facility uses the Trackman system and you are hitting out of a bay into the clubs driving range. I now know what the buzz about the TrackMan system is all about, I was able to see how each change Gary made during the fitting process affected Launch Angle, Spin Rate, Flight Distance, Ball Rollout and Total Distance. Gary also took the time to explain what he was trying to achieve with the changes and how to read the Trackman display. After the fitting Gary took care of placing the order for the clubs and the best part of this process was when I picked up my new clubs, all I had to do was remove the protective covering from the heads, register them and put them in play, all the adjustments were dialed in during the fitting process and they were set during assembly prior to shipment. So was it worth it? Yes, My shots with the driver look identical to the shots I was seeing at the end of the fitting session, and they are very consistent and very repeatable. I am seeing the same results with the 3-Wood as well, both off a Tee and the fairway. Needless to say I will be utilizing Gary’s services in the future to continue to upgrade my clubs as my budget allows, next up is the 915H to replace an older Hybrid, new wedges and finally new irons. Have I seen an improvement in my game as a result of the fitting? Yes, I am consistently hitting more fairways off the Tee, and my shots out of the fairway with the 3-wood are consistent as well, which has resulted in lower scores.

This is the information on my new clubs.

    915D2 Driver specs: 12˚ | A-4 | 915 Diamana D+ White 60 | S | Titleist Tour Velvet 360°

    915F Fairway Wood Specs: 3W | 16.5˚| A-3| Aldila Rogue Black 70 | S | Titleist Tour Velvet 360°

I do have on question though I saw on a previous post a question about Custom Fit Certificates & Shaft Bands for clubs could someone provide me some information about these.

Glad you love the new setup. I'm not a club champion but between being left-handed and not matching the typical available rack options, Titleist has the best options for me. If I can't buy off the rack and there are never last year's models available, getting fit with all the options available in the base product makes perfect sense. You can buy late model other drivers marked down to $199, but if paying 400-450 a driver, it pays to get it right the first time. Titleist clubs fitted are an investment and won't be in the bargain bin in a year with sell quick mark downs.
