Hi
I used your fitting kit to select my AP2 irons and shafts. I eventually settled on XP95 shafts. Using the fitting kit, I had gained about one club compared to my old irons (CB with Rifle 6.0 shafts - about 8 years old at the time) - so I was hitting the fitting 6 iron comfortably about 170m. I'd also highlight that I spent a significant amount of time in the fitting process - including a TrackMan session and a couple of sessions on my own on the range comparing shafts and the XP95 + AP2 combination to my old irons.
When the final clubs were delivered, the distance that I had repeatedly achieved with the fitting kit was gone. In fact I was about half a club shorter than my old irons. At the time I was assured this was normal with new irons and that the distance would return once I had "settled into them."
A year later the distance has not returned. I am hitting my 6 iron about 155m. Understandably, I am wondering if there could have been a mistake in the assembly and the wrong shafts put on the irons - how could the performance from fitting to final be so different?
The shafts have the XP95 sticker on them - but I don't know when in the assembly process this sticker is put on the shaft. Are the shafts shipped from the manufacturer with the stickers already on them?
I am an 11 handicapper and typically get about 220m of carry with my driver at the coast with no wind.
Your thoughts would be appreciatted.
Regards
Manuel
