  1. I have had my new AP2 irons for about 3 weeks.  I had the rifle project x 6.0 shafts put in them.  They felt like a board so I took the to Andrew Hodson Golf.  He measured and checked them.  He said they came in just under a XX stiffness.  Is there any way I can have them replaced?  Could you suggest a shaft that would be a true stiff flex with a mid ball flight?

    Thanks

We would be happy to bring them in and measure the flex here at our Titleist facility.  If they are out of  spec, we would reshaft them for you.  Please note that machines used for frequency, torque or other specs can read differently depending on how it is set up, clamped, or even what machine is used.  We would go by our testing machines as all shafts and specs are set up for standard per each shaft manufacturer's specification. Our machines are calibrated monthly and quarterly and swingweight machines are calibrated daily.

Please take them back to the shop where you purchased them and have them set up a Warranty inspection for shaft flex and we would be happy to set that up and check them for you.

I have a Titleist 913 D2 driver 9.5 with the Project X 7C3 shaft (73g, 6.0, tip stiff) and love the club and shaft, ball flight and distance. I am looking for the 913 F or Fd 3 wood also. what shaft would you recommend for that fairway wood?  would it be the Diamana white board (83g I believe) or is there also a Project X fairway shaft similar to my driver shaft but heavier? or other?

Hi Paul,  There is a PRX shaft that can be used for the fairway - since we have capability of using the bezel weights to change swingweight, you can use either the 7C3, cut and trimmed for a fairway or get the PX 8C4, which is slightly heavier (82 grams) and the same flex 6.0.

Dale, I like and played the PX 5.5 and the 6.0 shafts in previous AP2s, but I struggled with the feel of the shaft even though I hit them well. I went to a Titleist Demo day and tried the KBS Tour C-Taper and fell in love. I'm sure there are other shafts that are just as great, but I recommend you give these a try if you want nice feel.
