I have been thinking of this for a while and I am quite sceptical as to the effects of changing "loft" on the Surefit Tour Hosel.

Don't get me wrong here, I believe that the Titleist system on club head adjustment is one of (if not the best) for applying significant changes to configuration while maintaining total club structural integrity.

My questioning is more related to the effect of loft changes using the STH with regards to actually changing the effective loft of the club head.

In most cases, I would think that golfers will rest the club head on the ground before placing their hands on the grip. Taking that perspective, would "changing loft" be more inclined to changing the position of the hands at address in relation to the club head.

A "lower" loft setting would in reality let the player set up with the hands slightly more "backwards" from the neutral setting (or let the club head be set a bit more forward at address for the same hand position).

On the other hand, I would expect that if a player takes his club in his hands without grounding the club, and sets up by placing his hands on the grip based on other "cues", this would allow for the change in loft to actually be expressed in the configuration between the player's hands and the club face.

Personally, I tend to rest the club head on the ground before "wrapping" my hands on the grip. Hence my queries to the above.

    Any comments are welcome.
