  1. Hi All,

Just looking for some advice re; D3 913 Shaft.

My swing speed was recorded at 129mph. Ball Speed 190.3mph. Spin rate 2980.

I have the Diamana Whiteboard 72 in the driver at the moment.

My flight is too high, looking to bring that ball flight down and close in the accuracy.

People have suggested all shafts such as the:

    Project X 7A3/8A4

    Di7 X Flex

Just wondering if anyone knows of a shaft that will pull that ball flight right down.

Carry was 354 yards 379 finish, so I don't mind picking accuracy over yardage.

Any advice would be much appreciated. However, I literally just want a clear indication of what is the stiffest bad boy out there.

    Cheers

    Hi Nick,

Have you tried looking into a more specialized shaft for long drive competitions? Aldila and UST Mamiya shafts seem to be a go to for some, but there are other less commonly known shaft manufacturers that might suite your needs. House of Forged is a name that I see come up every now and then.

You might look at one of these. I would also suggest you change club heads too. Special club heads are designed for the punishment of long drive.

I would look at the Titleist custom shaft matrix and compare. It seems that the Speeder 8.2 X tour spec would lower flight. The Di7 X would launch higher with less spin than the whiteboard. I think you may want to try something heavier 80+g for consistency at that speed.
