Just curious what the maximum bend the AP2's will tolerate.
I bought a new set last fall and although I hit the short and mid irons reasonably well, I have really struggled with the long irons. This came as a bit of a shock to me as I was always an excellent ball striker, especially when it came to long Irons, But, after a 10 year layoff from golf I just assumed the sands of time had washed away my ability.
I wasn't satisfied as the season has progressed, I really thought I would be able to reclaim some past glory with a bit of hard work and perseverance. So I dug out my old MP33's that were bent 2* flat and shortened a half inch. My ball striking was immediately better with the long irons. As this piqued my curiosity, I needed to compare the two clubs. What I found was a little surprising to me. The new AP2's that were ordered 1.5* flat were still 2* upright from my MP33's at the same length.
It seems to me to be an easy solution, but I'm a bit nervous that the club won't handle another 2*, or 3.5* total.
Anybody out there know?
Thanks
