As you can see from the photos above. I had a fitting session with Lucas and the east coast fitting truck in Atlanta.  Using Lucas, Trackman, and ProV1s off of great turf is much better than guessing in a indoor facility or using a local professional that may have a fitting cart, but limited options, limited technology, and limited knowledge which made this process the best.  I had two hours and spent most of my efforts on getting a driver, wedges, and was open to filling in the rest.  Lucas helped me immensely, even though I was not on my game and frustrated that I was not hitting the ball very consistently.  He educated me on the gaps in ball speed as that was the biggest focus and was patient when I hit it quite poorly.  With the wedges, he viewed the way I used the bounce and evaluated distance gaps.  All of the new clubs offered much greater performance.  Once I started to get in a grove here is what I ended up with.

    915 D2 10.5@A1 Rogue Black 60 S 45"                          915 F 15@D4    Rogue Black 70 S 42.5"

    816 H1 19@D4    Rogue Black 85H 40.5"                       816 H1 23@A1    Rogue Black 85H 39.5"

    SM5 Raw Finish
    50.12F, 54.14F, 58.12K
    DG S200 Std      S/S
    Grip: Tour Wrap 2G Black

I went from an antique G5 to the 915 D2, a TM 3 wood to the 915 F, and very old AM hybrids to 816 H1s.  Trying to decide if I want to wait until the SM6 wedges as my current wedges still have some wear left in them, but I went from a 60 & 54 to the three wedges above.  I also settled on Newport 2 Dual Balance Scotty.

If anyone has the opportunity to do this, they certainly need to do it!!

I'm about to the point where hybrids, irons, and wedges all need to be done at the same time. If your irons are 5+ years old, the 9/PW lofts may be dramatically different than a 716 iron. You may need to regap wedges if upgrading within a year to a new set of irons. But all in all, nothing better than having the Titleist guys fitting you. I don't play golf on simulators, doesn't make much sense to use one to get fit.

Sounds like a great experience. I am not quite as lucky living in a very rural Ky setting. But I have scheduled a full bag fitting session at a advanced fitting center in my home state of Ky 3 hours away on the other end of the state. And I am excited about it already and it is still two weeks away. This will be my first outdoor fitting using a trackman as well with a professional fitter. I was fit for my current clubs but from a 17 year old with a fitting cart at a part time job in a chain store. So finally I hope to get a true fitting of what I actually need to be swinging. I am like a kid in December counting down the days. They told me to expect 2.5 -3.5 hours and I am ready.

It was a great experience.  I am not a super feel player, so of course the various clubs look different and feel somewhat different (heavier in my case) but I trusted Lucus and did not inspect every club he handed me.  I believed that he would put me in the best position, so for me there was no reason to question his expertise or opinions.  There is no reason for anyone to get fit indoors with only a small fitting cart.  I am also skeptical of some of the local pros that have a Titleist fitting cart.  They sometimes gave me the run around and did not have the knowledge, experience, or inventory that someone like Lucus had.
