After my first fitting this past spring, I ordered my first set of custom clubs, a mix of AP1 & AP2's. 1/2 in short and two degrees flat. Anyhow - it was mentioned to me that over time, I'd need to get them "rebent". I was just curious if there is a standard timeframe for having this done or is this even accurate?

Yes.  I get my loft and lie checked every spring.  A few clubs will usually need to be adjusted a degree here or there.

In addition, this year they might fit your swing, but next year, you might be more 'upright' with your irons than you were before, and start missing to the right.  A lie adjustment will get you dialed right back in.

I have a loft/lie machine in the "man cave" just for that purpose! I try and get dialed in right before Spring. Luckily I have a large enough back yard that hits toward some trees that I can hit some old balls, look at the lie, go back and adjust them, and hit'em again until I get them right. Especially with the softer forged irons, they can bend themselves over time from the battering they take hitting the ground. So I check them fairly often. It's really easy to do and the machine has paid for itself ten-fold.
