I am considering SL shafts. I currently have Dynamic S300's in my 714 AP2's.
I'm 58 and I've lost swing speed. I want to go to a lighter shaft with more flex (an R+ or S-). However, I have a steep angle of attack, and generate a lot of spin. I tend to hit the ball high with my S300's (especially into the wind), so I don't want to change to a higher launching shaft. Thus my interest in the SL shaft.
My intent is to try changing out my current clubs (starting with the 4 & 5) to R300 SL shafts with a 1/2" to 1" extra tip trim. My understanding is that a 1" tip is roughly equal to half a swing flex, but I know that varies from shaft to shaft.
Does anyone have any experience with shaft trimming for the Dynamic SL shaft?
