  1. i'm a lady golfer that is currently playing with AP1 712 irons with AD65i graphite shafts.  I am looking to purchase the new AP1 716 irons and want graphite shafts in them too.  I have a swing speed of 75-80MPH - I am wondering if a senior flex would suit my swing speed better than the mens reg shaft i use at present.  I have previously used ladies flex clubs but I was loosing the head of the club and distance with this flex as my ball would go sky high?

Any advice would be appreciated - the local fitters to me only have the steel shafts for me to try.

Hi Lisa,  The GDI shafts are a little stiffer in the butt end of the shaft and very similar in the tip as the new Kurokage TiNi shafts (although the TiNi have a slightly lower torque).  We would recommend trying the new KuroKage TiNi shafts in both the R and A flex as they have a slightly softer feel, but launch and spin should be close.  The senior flex will launch higher and spin more than the regular.  A good fitter will be able to help you with that choice.  I am forwarding your post to our UK office to see if they can recommend a place that has the graphite shafts.  You can also contact them at UKConsumer@AcushnetGolf.com.

    Hi Lisa,

We can definitely help regarding your post. If you can let us know where you are living at the moment we can advise the nearest Titleist fitting centre who is able to offer you the chance to try the shafts you require, ensuring you are fit correctly for your game.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Many thanks,

    TT

  4. I have asked my own golf club who have kindly said they will ask their titelist representative if they could have a selection of the graphite shafts for me to try. This is due to the Pro knowing my game and familiar shot shapes which I think would help with the fitting

I live in the West Midlands area - apart from my local club I did see that the Belfry was an advanced fitting centre.

    Thanks.
