    Hello

I'm a 61 year old 8 handicap. I am currently playing swoosh Vapor pro combo with DG Pro R300 flex. i like them but feel like i would like a graphit shaft in the longer irons 5,6,and 7 I want to get the T-MB irons and i am trying to decide if i wanr the AMT's in r 300 how will they compare to the DGpro. My other thought is to try Steel fiber i95 in Reg. My concern with them is the 9thru W being to light. What can you tell me. I'm kind of screwed from going to a fitting pro right now as I had a joint replacement in my big toe , dont ask, 30 year old injury. any thoughts would helpful. Greg

For you, I would go see a fitting pro.  In my opinion the steel fibers are one of the best graphite iron shaft on the market, and are extremely soft.

Greg, my dad was about your age when he switched to graphite shafted irons. He went to all graphite because of arthritis, the

move to graphite added about 5 yards per club and allowed him to play until he suffered a stroke June 2014. At that point he was

on his second set of graphite shafted irons.

BTW - in June of 2014, his last 3 rounds were all under par at the ripe age of 77. He is still with us but not playing....yet! (hopefully)

I am with the others in that, you should wait until you are able to swing the club with a fitter before you buy.

    Just my 2 cents!
