  1. Recently purchased a 915D2 with the Blue S+60 shaft. I've lost 20 yards from my former png G20 driver.  My swing speed is probably in the mid 80's.  Do I need the Red M+50 shaft?

I think the best way to answer this post is with a question. Did you get fit for this driver? If not, you should so that you find the right specifications for your swing. Your png driver may be the same loft as the Titleist you purchased but the launch conditions and spin rates may be totally different. This could occur even if they both had the same shafts. Twenty yards is a huge difference which just should not happen if fitted properly. Titleist drivers are the best in the business but no driver can make up for a bad fit with your swing. Best of luck.

  3. I wasn't fitted--decided to go with the middle of the road "regular" shaft  that still showed a mid-high launch angle--similar to my png.  As you suggest, I'll probably need to get fitted and see where the issue lies.  Thanks for taking the time to reply.

You also didn't mention which loft. Off the rack, it could be a 9.5 loft with a stiff or a 10.5 loft with a regular flex for the S+. With my similar speed, I have used the 9.5 adjusted to 11 degrees loft with the R flex shaft. I bought the Stiff flex off the shelf. In trying to fix my loss with a fitting with my regular pro, the M+ was not optimal as it generated too much spin - for me. I bought the S+ in a R flex. The sad part was I was fit in a hitting bay at box store and the 9.5/stiff was their recommendation. You might need the M+, but don't guess it is the fix.
  5. Thanks for the info Don.9  I have the 10.5, regular blue S+ 60 shaft.  I've adjusted the lie and loft up and down, and it does seem the higher loft is generating better results.  Thanks again.
