    fort mcmurray,

I own a 712U 3iron with DG x100 standard length, was fitted for it. I am considering putting a graphite shaft in it. I am thinking it I may get a little more distance out of it and slightly higher ball flight. This would be a club between my 4iron and 3 wood. I used a 20* png anser hybrid last year. Just looking to switch it up a bit.

Will this effect the swing weight, if so how?

Is there any other considerations I should think about?

    Any shaft suggestions?

I'm not getting fit for it. But I have been fit a lot in the past I am x-flex player.

    Thanks

    Jason

    fort mcmurray,

update. I found out that the tip is a .355 tapered. This limits my options for a graphite shaft. It seems like I may have to use a graphite iron shaft vs a graphite hybrid shaft, which has a .370 tip. UST Recoil 110 seems like a good fit. Anyone play this shaft? Just wondering how it may change my ball flight and distance over my DGx100 (130 grams). Any other shaft suggestions? Does anyone know what graphite shaft options are available in the T-MB? website says graphite shafts are an option but no details.

    Hi Jay,

For the graphite shaft options on the T-MB's, check the Options catalogue for clubs & shafts. They list the various shaft iterations and provide some specs on them. It is located in the club/iron section -- approximately halfway down on each club model.

    Hope this helps,

    D.
