I am thinking of getting the 4 hybrid (not sure if I want the 915H or 816H yet). I need some advice on what shaft to go along with it. My current driver is a 913D2 with the old version of the Diamana Red stiff. I like everything about it and it's a great fit for my driver. My question is would the Diamana M+Red 60 be a good fit for a hybrid given that I like it in my driver? Or should I go with the Blue?

    Thank you!!

Without knowing anything about your swing (speed, path, etc....) it's impossible to recommend a shaft. Best advice is to work with a qualified Titleist fitter to get the correct shaft for your game.

Sorry about that. My swing speed is generally in the low 90mph range. I swing on a flatter in to out path. My irons are 1 degree flat and 1/4 inches longer shaft.

I know that I should go get fitted but wanted to see if there is a general opinion on my question. Thanks!!

Did you go with the Diamana Red because you liked or needed the higher launch? If you need a high launch/high spin shaft, then the Diamana M+Red 60 might be the way to go. Otherwise, I would look at the S+Blue 70. Again, I still recommend getting fit, because there may be another shaft out there that you aren't considering, that is perfect for your swing.

I was fitted to the shaft because I needed the higher launch. I tend to have a lower ball flight. I think I will carve out the time to get fitted. You are probably right about not contemplating other shafts. Thanks again for the input.

The next question would be if your choice is similar to an iron (816H), or similar to your woods (915's). That was my tough call as I was looking to replace my 2/3 iron. Barry is spot on that you need to get fit. I went to an 816, which had a stiffer shaft, similar length, and love it. BUT, I didn't just walk in and walk out with a new club. I hit them both, a lot....No regrets here...Good luck!!......

The 816 has the advantage of being fit for the 23 or 25 hybrid, since they no longer use the # designation. Can also be adjusted in full degree increments. The 915s now may only be available off the rack. The M+ in A/R flex for the hybrid will likely be too soft for you, using the red in stiff driver. I use a higher launching shaft in driver/fairway, and the 24/25/27 913/915/816 hybrids launch well for me in the S+.

When i recently purchased my 816 I showed the Titleist rep what i had in my driver and 3 wood. he matched the 816 with those two and I now have the Diamana white hybrid shaft and love it. I know everyone is different, but I would strongly recommend going the same route as your driver and 3 wood if you hit them well.

    good luck!

Thanks guys for the feedback. I will be scheduling a fitting in the near future. I know they will fit me to the right shaft.
