What's your hybrid swing look like?

    What's up #TeamTitleist?

I recently purchased a Titleist 915h hybrid with a Diamana D+ Hybrid 90 stiff flex shaft. I'm loving it so far. This is my first hybrid and I'm launching it much higher than the 3 iron it's replacing and I'm extremely happy with it.

My question is, I tend to be swinging it like a fairway wood, how do you all swing your hybrids? More like irons where you try to have a descending swing or a fairway wood trying to catch it just right?

I'm looking for a discussion on the pros and cons of both approaches. If there are scenarios where "it depends" then I'd like to hear them as well.

    Thanks!

On the fairway, I try to catch the ball cleanly and not take a divot (or a very minor one at worst), just like hitting a fairway wood. Out of light to moderate rough I tend to hit down on the ball a bit more (trying to catch more ball than grass). The method I use may not be 100% correct, but it works for me so I'm sticking with it.

I love my 915 (3) hybrid. I play it just front of centre in my stance and take a divot.
  4. I tend to find that the launch, spin, and trajectory is better with a shallower angle of attack. I hope you enjoy your new hybrid!
  5. I tend to find better results with more of a sweeping swing. Hope you enjoy the hybrid.

I love my Hybrid, I swing it like a long iron and it works great for me. Enjoy

I hit mine like my 3w. I have the same shaft in my 816 H2 as well as the xstiff diamana's in my driver and 3w so it just made sense to use the same swing style for the 816. I get a nice penetrating trajectory and it sits as soft as baby hair on the greens.
