  1. I'm playing the 10.5 913 D3. I'm full carry at 250 to 260. No roll. Should I switch to an 8.5. I have a high launch angle. Anyone.

Hi JPassaretti, it all depends on your course conditions. Do you frequently play on soft conditions? Because when I play courses that aren't soft like I play very frequently, I do get a little bit of roll. But just as another thing, the only reason the guys on tour get tons of roll, is because they intentionally make the course firm, so it plays tougher. If you watch during the summer, they will get soft courses, and they won't hit it even close to as far. But as you said, you play a 10.5 D3, if you want to know if you should change loft, I highly suggest going to get fit with a Titleist fitter, and they can help you get the right club in your hands. Hope I helped, thanks!

I would adjust the driver you have now down to as close as you can to a 9.5 first, and see what you can get with that first. If you feel the club is still launching to high then you could consider getting the 9.5, or 8.5 driver. Shaft also will play a factor on launch height. Honestly the best way to get your launch angle just right is getting fitted for it cause id hate to say yea go for the 8.5 on here and it not work for you. But I play a 913 D3 in 8.5 with a mid launch shaft the axiv core tour green, and have great luck with it. So yes the change can help you, but take the time to try them first because 8,5 could be to low for your liking if that makes sense.

    Hey JP,

Best drivers now are so expensive, I would recommend that before you pluck down a weeks pay for a new driver that might not deliever what your looking for take the time to look at these factors before you take the plunge. First of all, are you playing on fairways that layvery soft due to soil and wettnes factors? Are the fairways firm and dry? Assuming, that they are firm and dry, I would try first purchasing a gew balls for comparision purposes. Buy s sleeve of Pro V1 and a sleeve of Pro V1x. If you want try any other ball you wish for further comparisons. Does this show you any change in performance? Also, you could look at your exisiting driver. Does it have any adjustments that will allow you adjust the loft of the club? If so, then adjust accordingly. Lastly, ball flight is strobgly influeneced buy the characteristics of the shaft you have on you existing sriver. Factors such as length, tip stiffness, torque, manufacturer design elements internal to the club such as material type, area moment of inertia, stiffness and weight all will effect your ball flight. I would recommend you go to a fitter that has a Trackman/Flightscope type device. A new modern shaft could very well solve your problem for much less than the cost of purchasing a new driver.

    Best Wishes,
