  1. Hey guys! Just a quick question regarding irons and shafts. Currently, I use King Cobra Ss-I irons, (they're old, I know) with iron shafts. I'm thinking of upgrading to a brand new set of Titlest irons. The only problem is I'm not sure what type of shaft I should use. I'm a relatively high handicapper but I have made steady improvement to bring it down. Any help would be great!

Spend a few bucks and go through a fitting session. I spent $50 for about a two hour session and got 19 pages of data with more info than I ever thought existed in relation to the golf swing. I knew I was losing distance due to age but the fitting gave me new life and turned the hands of time back. I regained a lot of lost distance from going from a stiff steel shaft to a graphite senior flex. I also found that I needed a little more of an upright club face which helped make the ball go where I wanted. As expensive as clubs are I think it is crazy to buy anything off the shelf when you can buy custom made clubs for the same price. It would be like going to shoe store and buying a pair of shoes without any regard to length and width.
  3. (*steel shaft not iron) Thanks Carl! That analogy is a great way to put it. I think I might take the custom fitting route. Thanks for the feedback, I'll seriously consider it.
