716 AP 2 3 IRON

    i have titleist 712 AP2, 3 Iron, the shaft is True Temper Dynalite Gold XP, X100. Also I am not sure the weight of the shaft. probably D2.

    It s not consistently great hitting from the fairway or rough. I am looking to replace the club but I am looking around for a graphite stiff shaft instead steel shaft for the specific 3 iron club.

    But i am having a difficult time to figure out which graphite stiff shaft would work best with 716 AP2 3 Iron? i am looking for the shaft to be little lighter then the normal weight.

    any suggestions on the graphite shaft for 716 AP2 3 iron??

    I would recommend visiting a Titleist Fitter and having them evaluate a few different shafts for your needs.

    I personally have the AP2's like yourself and went with the AP1 3-iron for my set...same shaft as my AP2's and it is like cheating it is so easy to hit!!

    I agree w/ Chris... I've replaced long irons w/ AP1 models. I think you'll find that switching to an AP1 or hybrid to be a bigger difference maker than changing the AP2 shaft to graphite.

    716 TMB is dirrrrrty! I'd give that thing a whack if you love the AP2s.
    Check out the True Temper XP 90 or 95 if you liked the feel/flight of the Dynalite!
