    I'm in the process of buying new AP 2 714 and wanted to get X100 soft stepped. Can I expect to hit the ball higher if I do so and can someone tell me how much if that's possible.

    I have x100 soft stepped in my irons. Yes, your ball flight will be higher. Hitting on trackman I don't recall my peak height (apex) but if you want to know how much additional height you'll get you will need to hit both side by side.

    Yes I have this set up (AP2 714 x100 soft stepped) the ball will launch higher. I can't tell you exactly how much as that will be determined by your swing but if your looking to launch the ball higher then soft stepping shafts will help you achieve that.
