I was fitted for the new 716 T-MBs and we decided on a 1 degree flat lie agle for all clubs. It seems to be great for most clubs but noticing some issues with the 4 iron and to a lesser degree with the 5 iron. In retrospect I would have gone standard on 5 and maybe 1 degree up on the 4.

My question is- can I take the clubs to a local golf shop and have them adjust the lie angles?

Good question. I would also be interested to know the answer being that it is not a forged club.

Also, if it is necessary to send it back to Titleist for a fee, and that it can be done, please let us know.

    Thanks you.

Hi Dinesh, We would not recommend having any shop bend the irons. Please have your local shop set up the bending to be done here with us and we can bend them to standard on your 5 iron and 1 up on your 4 iron.

The shop I ordered from is in another town from where I am right now. Can I contact titleist directly and get this fixed? I don't mind paying for shipping or a fee to fix the lie angle itself.

    Hi Dinesh
Can you tell us what the issues you are experiencing?

I too have the T-MB in 5 and 3, both suppose to be 1/4 short and 1 deg flat(the certificate from Titleist states the are standard!) but I am experiencing a big right push shot with the 3 iron which is never my side of the fairway.

Hope you get them sorted quick.

Hi Stu, I play a pretty tight draw and my misses are always left. On the T-MB 4 iron, even on my best swings, I am still getting a straight push to the right side. I read somewhere that there was a tendency for these clubs to go right, so I may have exaggerated that with a flatter lie angle. At least that is my theory.

Hi Dinesh, We have not seen any tendencies for the T-MB's to go left or right so not quite sure what you are experiencing with your long irons.

Since your shop is not near you, go ahead and take them to any local pro or retailer to set up the repair. (we don't have any direct orders).

Your stock shot is same as mine and yet we both are experiencing same misses to right. Even with a super smooth swing I still miss right. Mine is suppose to be one deg flat so I concur with your theory.

Ok played a couple more rounds now and these T-MB irons are great!

Needed to make a few adjustments to set up but absolute flying machines, especially the 3 iron from the tee.

Keep playing them Dinesh could be you just need a little time to adjust. Good luck
