    Hello I currently play the Ap1 716 with steel shaf, want to change to graphite due to back pain and injury. Im a 6 handicap, also wondering if i should buy the ap2 instead due to control issues (sometimes I hit very long, unexpected shots) The thing is that I have tried some graphite shafts in new and older models of AP1s and the one that I like the most is the GDi tour AD 65i (not sure if they now have them in regular or stiff since i havent seen them in the custom book) but if they dont, what shaft could be similar to that one? I did try the Kuro Kare LB 65 but dindt like at look, felt to stiff and did not respond at all to my swing, felt harder to pure the ball.

    any suggestions? havent tried the Recoil nor the Steelfibers but would like to know which of those would perform similar to the old GDi.

    Note: I also prefer lighter weight shafts due to my back.

    I'm playing graphite shafts in my 714 AP1 and I have never hit better. Just a nice easy swing on them and the graphite does the rest. I have a 90mph swing

    I'm playing the Ad-65i in my 712 Ap1's and love them. I've tried a ton of shafts and these are by far the best I've ever hit. I've even put the same shafts in my Vokey's. I've heard the recoil is very similar and the Ad-65i is no longer available.

    I went to the Recoil 95 f4 in the T-MB's this year. I love the feel of the Recoil. It promotes a high flight, with some extra carry, and it drops and stops on the greens. They are easy to flight down if needed as well. My brother went with the same Recoil's in the 716 AP2's. He'd say the same about the shafts. I think the Recoil is a good combo for the Titleist line. Lighter in weight. Characteristics of steel. All the benefits of graphite.

    I play the AD65i shafts in my 714 AP2s. I like their performance but have snapped two at the hosel. Titleist replaced them but they are getting hard to come by. I was informed the Kuro 65 is the replacement. The specs look very similar.
