  1. I recently bought a set of 716AP1 irons with the XP90 S300 shafts. The shafts are +1/2" with stock Titleist grips.

I really like the irons, but the ball flight is a little high.

How would changing the shafts to Dynamic Gold S300, same length +1/2 with same stock grips affect the swing weight....stay the same, higher/lower, not enough to notice?

    Thanks

  2. You would notice a big change in swingweight! I am guessing it would drop the swingweight significantly...

Probably not a good idea, you may want to sell your irons and order a new set...
  3. Hi George,

Chris makes a great point in that the weight of the club will change dramatically and so should the ball flight. There is 33 grams of weight difference between those two shafts at raw length. The interesting thing is DG S300 only builds one swing weight heavier than XP90 S300, so you should expect to feel similar balance.

We would encourage you to seek the advice of your local authorized Titleist fitter to ensure any shaft change is a positive one for your game. Let us know how it goes!
