You don't mention how many wedges you carry or what the lofts are, but I can't imagine that there would be a big difference in distance. According to the web site the Vokey SM6's run from 35.75" in the pitching wedges to 35.00" in the lob wedges. If you are thinking of going from your current 37" set up down to 1 inch over standard, you would be at 36.75" in the pitching and 36.00" in the lobs. So imo your pitching wedges (for full shots) would only be 1/4" shorter and not be much different if at all, and the lob wedges (for more delicate partial shots) would be 1" shorter, but since you're probably not doing full swings very often, I don't think that these would be much different either. The one advantage I can think of is maybe you would have a bit better control when swinging the shorter clubs, but again they're not that much shorter so you may not feel anything at all.
