  1. A few weeks back I went down to TPI and did a club fitting as well as the fitness testing. I have to say the place is amazing and the service and treatment are top notch. Once you get by the awe factor and get down to business you realize you can get some serious work done. The fitter I worked with Glen, really knew his stuff and was really nice to work with. He would have me try different shafts and lofts but would also take the time to tell me why and what difference they would make. And sure enough the trackman #'s would show improvement but I could also see it in the ball flight and how it would feel coming off the clubface. As I mentioned I also did the fitness test which showed my strengths and weaknesses with my body in relation to the golf swing. My Fitness instructor David was very informative and laid out a great fitness/game plan to get me more flexible and stronger in my weaker areas. I love the game of golf and want to improve although I have no illusions of being on the PGA Tour but it was nice to be treated like a tour pro if only for a day.

    Thanks Titleist.

Would you mind sharing the fitness/game plan? I realize it's different for everyone but just curious..

Thanks for sharing your experience! Sounds like you had a great day!
  3. I don't want to divulge all inf. otherwise there will not be any surprises when people go. Also, not sure how much Titleist will want me to share. I will say the fitness game plan was a detailed report that was sent to me after the completion of my fitness testing and swing analysis. Some plans may be shorter or longer based on your strengths and weaknesses. For me, I need to work on my lower body to keep from coming out of my posture during the downswing and also we noticed that I have a 2" hip sway during the backswing. Based off of this he designed certain exercises I can do in the gym or at home to strengthen my hips, lower body, and other core muscles. Along with golf drills that will help me reduce swaying and coming out of my posture. There were 5 different workout exercises for my hips and 5 different ones for my lower quadrant. There were also 5 golf drills to help reduce my swaying and 5 golf drills to help prevent an early extension.
Some players may need more others may need less. I've always been a gym person so the transition of doing new exercises will not be too difficult for me. I will say I am using muscles that I have not worked out before so that is a good thing. Others may not like to workout so it may not be for them. But the key is if you do decide to do it then follow the program and be patient and the results will come.
