I purchased a new Titleist 915D2 from my golf club months ago and it sits in my garage. I have tried repeatedly to adjust that club to my swing. I have a natural draw. I left the adjustment on A1 and I draw the ball to far left . I have adjusted it to where I thought I would be a little straighter but I fade it right off the fairway. I tweak and tweak it. I am frustrated with it and went back to my R9.. Does anyone out there in TT world who can give me some advise on the correct adjustment I can set it on? Please respond to pga6201@yahoo.com Thanks team

The first thing I will ask is: Are the shafts between your R9 & 915D2 the same length, weight, flex, & kick point?

I just recently purchased my 915D2 (replaced my 910D2) & went thru 6 different shafts to find the one that gave me the best spin, launch angle & ball speed.

I went from a Diamana Red 44vsl stiff to a Diamana Blue regular 60 and got better numbers across the board including distance.

It sounds like a shaft issue and not an adjustment issue. if the shaft is flexing at the wrong time at impact it can effect your ball flight pattern & spin.

I had my 910D2 set on D1 most of the time because I liked the ball flight better than A1, I'm playing my 915 on A1 for better launch angle but I still have the same 8-10yd draw I did before.

hope you get it sorted out, but I'd start with the shaft comparison.

  3. Which setting(s) have caused it to fade it right off the fairway?

B1 - D1 - or D4 may help. It usually takes me quite a few swings to get used to any change in sure-fit settings. Hang in there!

You know I had some issues with mine. I am a senior and ended up changing my loft from 9.5 to an 11.0 with open face and slowed down my backswing. Now hitting the ball nice an high and in the middle. Of course I was fitted for my driver by a Titleist fitter, so part of my issues were me and my over the top swing, according to the fitter. Can't disagree with him. =)

I have a big fade so for me to dial in the right setting came from ball placement. I usually have the ball a little more forward but after making adjustments and sliding the ball back. Bingo. Long and straight now

Settings don't help a swing flaw. You can bias towards fade or draw, but it generally goes back to grip, aim, or setup.....
