Titleist AP2 716 Softstepping stock AMT shafts

    Dear Titleist Concierge,

    1) I have the Titleist AP2 716 in stock DG AMT regular shaft, they feel heavy to me. I was wondering if softstepping them would help me gain a little bit more distance and make them feel a bit softer and lighter as well.

    2) Second option would be reshafting them to Steelfibers i95 if they could potentially help me.

    Feeling heavy. I switched to Recoil 95s. Unreal is all I can say!

    It will make then a bit more flexible, however they have already been cut when they were built. You can't add length back on to the tip.

    It really will not change the weight. If you think your shafts feel a bit heavy, the only real solution is to re-shaft. Before you do this, I suggest a fitting session to get the shaft selection right.
