  1. Hello, I am thinking about taking an Aldila Rogue 70 black stiff driver shaft and cutting down to a 3wd length to play in a 915f 3wd. Can I cut the driver shaft to play like a stiff Aldila rogue 70 black 3wd shaft and how would I need to cut?

Check with the shaft manufacturer but I think you would need to tip trim 1" than butt trim to length. The more of the tip you cut off, the stiffer the shaft will play.

The 915F hosel adaptor is not interchangeable with the driver shaft hosel. Titleist does not sell them alone. You need a plan to use the shaft on a FW.
  4. With aldila you tip the shaft 1 inch for 3 woods
  5. You can however the tip trimming will be off and as a result be much softer...this may affect your ball spin and other factors. Yet, it can be done!
  6. Thanks so much for the replies! I think I am going to try and go with a standard 3wd shaft now after the replies.

You may also have to change the weight in the head to maintain swing weight.
